Hi, my name is Sophie and I’m currently a student at the University of Newcastle studying a Bachelor of Commerce/Law (Honours). I’ve been working with kids since I was 12 and I love it. I started looking after my brothers and casual babysitting, moving into working as a nanny in 2017 for two girls - aged 2 and 4. Over the past few years I’ve worked primarily as a swim teacher and currently as a rowing coach. In my free time, I love going to the beach, reading, and cooking.
I’ve been working with children since I was 12, mainly my brothers and casual babysitting. Throughout 2017 I worked as a part-time nanny for two girls - aged 2 and 4 - organising their days before preschool and entertaining throughout the day. Since 2015 I have worked as a ASCTA Credited swim instructor, and since working as a rowing coach. Working with children provides opportunities to be a crucial part of a child’s development, enabling character building, and getting to celebrate little things each day.
Throughout highschool I tutored younger students within my boarding school, mainly in English and Mathematics. I also tutored a primary school student, mainly assisting in the completion of homework and after school care. Since, I edit and proofread at college, building more sophisticated and complex writing of essays.
