I’m a qualified early childhood educator with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and over 7 years of experience. I have extensive experience caring for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, and I’m passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for every child. I hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC), First Aid and CPR certification, and a Police Check. I’m reliable, calm, and genuinely enjoy building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
Yes, I have extensive experience working with children with additional needs through both early childhood settings and under the NDIS. I’ve supported children with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory processing challenges. I’m confident in adapting routines and activities to suit individual needs, using a calm, inclusive, and strengths-based approach. I’ve worked closely with families, therapists, and support teams to provide consistent and personalised care. I’m also trained in administering medication and always follow correct procedures to ensure each child’s safety and wellbeing.
How long have you been looking after children for? What age children are you most comfortable with? What do you find most rewarding about childcare? Etc. I’ve been looking after children for over 7 years and have worked with all age groups, from 6 weeks old through to 12 years. I feel confident and comfortable with all ages, but I especially enjoy working with babies and toddlers—there’s something so special about supporting those early developmental milestones. What I find most rewarding about childcare is the connection you build with each child and their family. Watching children grow, gain confidence, and develop their own little personalities is honestly the best part of the job. I love being someone they feel safe and happy around.
I also have experience tutoring children in English and reading, helping to build their confidence with language, comprehension, and literacy skills. I tailor my approach to each child’s learning style, using fun, engaging methods to make reading enjoyable and less overwhelming. Whether it’s supporting early readers with phonics or helping older kids with grammar, spelling, and writing, I focus on creating a calm, supportive environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions and take their time. Seeing a child’s progress and pride in their own learning is incredibly rewarding.
