Hey, I recently moved to Sydney from the UK, where I worked as a primary school teacher. I have experience working with children across a range of ages and would love the opportunity to support your family as a nanny or babysitter! I ran a number of extra curricular activities during my time as a teacher and also regularly babysit my 3 year old nephew so have experience entertaining children outside of the classroom setting. Alongside childcare, I can also offer tutoring in core subjects to help with schoolwork or build confidence in learning. Worked at a School with a special needs inclusion unit so had regular training in the UK.
Childcare Experience
I have been a primary school teacher in the UK for 1 year so have experience taking care of and managing a class of 30 children. Alongside this, I also completed a teaching placement for 1 year in 3 different schools and had regular responsibilities of tutoring children with special educational needs. I also have a 3 year old nephew who I regularly babysit. I am most comfortable with children between the ages of 2-14 but feel confident looking after older or younger as I have a strong background in education and worked for an educational charity for teenagers prior to becoming a teacher.
Tutoring Experience
I am a qualified teacher back in the UK. I taught year 4 so I am most confident at teaching and tutoring 8/9 year olds but am qualified to teach 5-12 year olds.
