Hi! 👋 I'd like to offer my services to local families who are in need of an extra hand with their little ones; whether that be babysitting for date nights, an extra pair of hands for those after school crazies or busy weekends, or even just to help with homework/tutoring. I've completed 3/4 of my Primary Teaching degree and I have worked with children in Kindy to Year 6 as an OSHC educator so I have the experience and knowledge to provide the caring, nurting or educating services that your family needs. I have a licence and a car that I'm happy to use for school pick ups or extracurricula activities. 🚗 I also have a current WWCC. I have previously completed first aid training, however I do not have a current certification. Additionally, I have experience working with children who require additional needs (ADHD, ASD, etc). After a late diagnosis of ADHD at the age of 22, I have a special interest in providing the support and advocating for children with additional needs. I will also be completing a specialisation in Special Education as part of my degree in the next coming year. I understand how difficult it can be to juggle life at times and the need for flexibility, so I'm happy to work with you and your family to provide whatever support you need.

Special Needs Experience

I hold a certificate III in Education Support, I have experience working with children with ADHD/ASD, and I will be completing a specialisation in Special Education as part of my Primary School Teacher training.

Childcare Experience

I've completed 3/4 of my Primary Teaching degree and I have worked with children in Kindy to Year 6 as an OSHC educator so I have the experience and knowledge to provide the caring, nurting or educating services that your family. I have experience working with children who require additional needs (ADHD, ASD, etc). After a late diagnosis of ADHD at the age of 22, I have a special interest in providing the support and advocating for children with additional needs. I will also be completing a specialisation in Special Education as part of my degree in the next coming year. Working with children and helping them grow as humans is a massive passion of mine. I have dreamed of becoming a teacher from the age of 6/7 and often played 'school' with my younger sister growing up. From a very early age, it was clear that providing care and support to others was my calling. I was the child who was eager to finish my own work so that I could help others, the older child at family/friend gatherings that would volunteer to look after the younger children and organise games and activities to keep them entertained. People often describe the way I interact with children as instinctual, as though it was something I was born to do. Nothing fills my heart more than being the one to put a smile on a little one's face or hearing their joyful giggles. I know from a personal perspective that it isn't always smiles and giggles though.. so I find it deeply fufilling to be that extra adult in a child's life that makes sure they know they are seen and loved.

Tutoring Experience

While I haven't had any formal tutoring experience, I have completed 3 out of 4 of my Primary Teaching Degree pracs. On these pracs, I have taught children across all grade levels; I taught in a Year 1/2 class, Year 3/4 class (Intensive English Centre), Year 4/5 class and a Year 5/6 class. My strengths include English and Art, however I am happy to provide tutoring for any subject. I also enjoy working with children who have additional learning needs as I understand that some 'traditional' methods do not work for every brain.
