Hi mums and dads, I am a qualified primary school teacher from Ireland who grew up in a big family with three brothers and three sisters so I have a lot of experience working with and looking after children. I love music, art, sports and reading. Looking forward to meeting you all!
I completed my degree in bachelor of education and psychology. I have worked as a special education teacher and worked in an outside school setting with children with special needs.
As a teenager I started out doing casual babysitting for relatives, neighbours and family friends. I worked as a carer bringing children with special needs to Lourdes in France for one week. Then throughout college, I did a lot of casual relief teaching and part-time babysitting with children mostly between the ages of 3-13. I worked in the summer time in Italy as an English tutor teaching through play and performance camps. For the past 2 years I have been working as a class teacher and special education teacher doing some casual tutoring on the side.
I have been tutoring on and off for the last 3 years, mostly for children between the ages 8-13. My experience of tutoring is mostly in Mathematics, English language (children with English as an additional language), literacy and reading, and some beginner piano lessons. I have also worked as a special education teacher for one year so I am skilled in catering lessons to individual students to support them in reaching their potential.
