Hello! I have always had a strong passion for working with children, which is reflected in my choice of studies, profession and volunteering experiences. I have my diploma in Early Childhood Education and I work part-time in a childcare centre. I also hold an upper class hons degree in Childhood Studies combined with Guidance and Counselling, and I have my certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I have over 10 years experience of working with children, from nannying to volunteering as a support worker for vulnerable children and their families. Interacting with children comes very naturally to me, as I thoroughly enjoy their company and find them fascinating. As a nanny, I am experienced and confident in keeping the child to a routine (and understand the importance of this), safeguarding, feeding, hygiene and keeping the child entertained (educationally lead where possible). I am very active and love the outdoors, and I try and plan as many outdoor activities as possible. As well as embracing nature, planned activities also often include the library, swimming, music groups, playgroups and excursions such as the museum or aquarium. I’m based in Prahran and have lots of nannying and babysitting experience in this area, and so I’m very familiar with the local ‘things to do’ with children, but at the same time I also love to take the children out of the area to the museum and farm parks for example.
