Hey parents! My name is Nix. I moved to Australia 7 years ago after being born in England and then spending most of my youth in Bali, Indonesia. However, I also have New Zealand citizenship. I am a gentle, warm and down to earth. I value honesty, communication and loyalty and try to not take life too seriously. Growing up in a big family with younger siblings & cousins may be the reason I love kids so much! They have an amazing curiosity with the way they move through the world that I find pretty inspiring. I am an experienced nanny and am currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work. I have experience working in after school care and I have nannied in various roles for over 5 years, with most of my work involving sole care for babies and toddlers- I have nannied for babies aged 3 months old up to kids aged 7. In my most recent role I spent a year with a really lovely family on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We spent our days going for bush walks, baking cakes or cooking up play dough, playing in the river, park, backyard, or playing with whatever had her attention. I am very child led in the way I work, as a happy bubba is in the best interest of everyone! I am a warm, caring and creative individual who absolutely adores working with children, which I believe is reflected in the love and attention I put into my work. I mainly do creative play & nature based exploring with little ones and my approach and communication always stays gentle and calm. I do light housework, some laundry and can cook dinner if there is time in the day. I have a working with children check, full drivers license, first aid certificate, I love to cook and am fully available to work. I am also more than happy to provide references.
