Hey guys! I’m an irish girl currently living in Caloundra! I previously worked as a Front of House manager in a wedding venue back home called “Cloughjordan House” it was gorgeous and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there! Australia has always been something on my mind and I wanted to take the leap solo! I have two younger brothers, one of which requires 24/7 nurse care at home in Ireland as he unfortunately contracted a serious virus when he was 2, leaving him paralysed from the neck down. This opened my eyes so much and made me mature very quickly adapting to his condition. I am also the oldest of 16 cousins! I’ve minded them all from time to time at different stages over the years. I also spent a few years regularly minding my neighbours three kids. They were such amazing family. I have lots of years experience in child minding! I’m really loving Sydney so far and its lifestyle. I’m really looking forward to meeting new families and hopefully getting the opportunity to take care of your little ones!

Special Needs Experience

I have a brother who contracted a virus 10 years ago leaving him paralysed from the neck down. I became trained in tracheostomy tubes, quickly adapted to what life is like to live with a child who requires such serious needs, having nurses in the house all day and night and had to learn to chang how to act with someone in a case like his. Which has taught me a lot about different needs children might have and how it affects them!

Childcare Experience

Having two little brothers (one with needs that requires 24/7 care at home) and 16 younger cousins nearby, I have practically been child minding since I was a tot myself! You very quickly fall into “mother mode” when you have younger siblings. 😆 I think it’s very interesting to work with kids as like anyone they have their own little personalities which can be fun to learn about and get to know them. I am very sensitive and understanding to kids that are on the spectrum, having minded a child with autism in the past. I have also minded my neighbours kids regularly in the past. They were amazing and a dream family to work with.
