Teaching assistant in an SEN school for a year. Attended many training sessions around SEN.
I have always had a passion for working with children. I have looked after children since the age of 16 when I started babysitting. I studied Childhood Studies and Early Years at university where I learnt all about where I learnt about child development in depth. I undertook many university placements during this time, working in a range of settings. After university, I worked in a nursery for 1 year, with children from ages 3 months to 3 years. I then worked as a teaching assistant for 1 year in a special educational needs school, where I supported children who had a range of learning, emotional, physical, and mental disabilities. After this I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education where I trained to be a primary school teacher, specialising in years 3-7. I then worked as a teacher for 2 years in year 1 (age 5/6).
