Hello families! I’m a Brazilian registered Nurse who worked for 3 years in a Paediatric Department. While in college, I had several internships related to children, in a paediatric ward, in a maternity centre, and in public health. All of these gave me a solid foundation to start working as a Nurse in an Emergency Room, with just 22 years old. At the Hospital, I was responsible for children with all sorts of emergencies (respiratory emergency, falls, car accidents and others) and I also covered wards while other nurses were on vacation, which means I was responsible for children who undergone on surgeries and were on cancer treatments as well. I also volunteered at an Orphanage with children for adoption, helping them with their basic needs as bathing, eating, clothing and playing. Here in Australia, I had studied Certificate III in Childhood Education and Care at MEGT Institute in Melbourne. I successfully complete my placement with children between 3 months old to 3,5 years old, in which I helped giving morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for the babies, helped older children with their meals, put them to sleep, played in and outdoors, nappy changing, toilet training, read stories, dancing and singing together, among other activities.
As a nanny, I have experience in Brazil, where I started working with a 5-month-old girl. I took care of her until she was 2 years old. During this time, I was in charge of her daily routines as cooking, bathing, putting her to sleep, organising her room (clothes and toys), playing and taking her to the playground, swimming lessons, as well as other outdoor walks. I also took care of a baby boy (from his 6 to 10 months old), and I had the same duties mentioned before. In Australia, I worked as a nanny for 2 different families. One of them had a 1-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl and the other had 2,5-year-old twin girls. I worked with those families for around 6 months and I was in charge of their meals, taking them to the park, to music classes, to the beach, put them for a nap, and other activities previously mentioned. I consider myself a proactive, kind, patient and responsible person, who loves cuddles and playing with children. I also enjoy taking children outdoors and cook to them if it is necessary. As you may have noticed, I’ve been through different situations with children and this gave me the experience to deal with them in a professional and nurture way. I love children, and I’m comfortable to say that I really can help you out with yours!
