Childcare Experience
During my teenage years, I often was paid to babysit my neighbour’s children (toddler and tween - both boys). I predominantly engaged them in reading, colouring, outdoor play (eg. Parks and sandpits), legos, etc and only did electronic based activities like TV watching if requested by their parents. I have always found so much reward in teaching kids new things and helping them learn new skills. Within my degree, I have been fortunate to have had placements at the Perth Children’s Hospital where I have engaged with many lovely kids with ongoing health concerns. I have had education and training in health conditions like asthma, type 1 diabetes, anaphylaxis and eczema. I love playing with kids and adore watching their personalities grow and thrive.
