Hi Mums and Dads, I am fully booked right now and can’t take on any more clients. I will alter this post if my situation changes. Best wishes to everyone for 2023. Nanny Clare I am your Mary Poppins!! I’ve been a nanny with more than 20+ years behind me. I am extremely experienced in the support, development and nurturing of children from birth to late teens. I collaborate with parents weekly. I anticipate their needs from week-to-week and often make suggestions that may save time and remove potential stress. I supervise with high awareness, delegate with confidence, and intervene in unpredictable behavior when required. I focus on the daily development of my dynamics with each child under my care, and focus on enriching their days within a design of structure and protection. I love engaging with children and identify the different levels of interaction needed within these vast age groups. I am an extremely organized person and uphold this design where possible to give both reliability and structure for both parents and their children. Extra: I’m keen to do some regular Friday and Saturday nights SO if you need permanent ‘date night’ for yourselves, let’s chat ASAP. Parenting is truly a relentless routine and planning personal time ahead is a must for your relationships.

Childcare Experience

I’ve been a permanent part time nanny with more than 20+ years behind me. HIGHLIGHTS- SKILLS AND SPECIAL ABILITIES • Provide a child-friendly fun environment • Multi-tasking – I have a great ability to cover more than one area at once ensuring the necessary requirements are covered properly • Ownership – I have no problems in taking responsibilities seriously and rarely encounter mishaps. I remain honest and clear in reporting any incidents • Offer details (via text too) on children’s daily progression • I am very personable, being kind yet consistent and firm • I am self-motivated and extend my abilities to help parents wherever I can • Family orientated • Trustworthy • Reliable • Handles the unpredictable with solutions based thinking • Highly energetic - I laugh with children - a vital step towards trust building • I have also been a swimming teacher and netball coach for primary age EXPERIENCE Nanny | 2013 -2019 Blythman Family I still provide some care to Tina’s children (now boy 6 years and girl 3 years) as her children are growing up. I have been caring for Max and Charlie since they were born. I have a very strong emotional connection with them. I cover areas of their daily routines depending on what time of day I have been required to assist. My duties: • Morning breakfast, • Daily routines across their entire day, lunch, sleeping routines • Dinner bath and bedtimes. • It also includes the pick-up and collections from primary school, kindergarten, and day-care and swimming classes (participating in the water too). • I always follow the parents designed routines; make notations of anything that occurred ‘out-of-the-ordinary’ to keep parents informed. • I encourage these children to become independent while doing their special hygiene routines e.g.: bathing, showering, and dressing themselves. • Covered potty training needs • I am able to support the development of their emotional and educational needs by initiating little chats about what they’re doing and what they like about what they’re doing. Engaging a dialogue with a child is imperative to developing strong self-esteem and a balance to their mental health needs. • I have also taken the children on an overnight care routine staying at their house or having them at my own abode. • The most active we have been together is in the form of ‘play’. Getting down into their environment is so important. They love sharing their world with an adult. Doing things together is where the trust is built. Whether it be bike rides, ball games, or the park with swings, being in the act of ‘playfulness’ develops a powerful and life changing bond. EXPERIENCE Nanny | 1997 -2013 Mulkearns Family I looked after two stunning little boys Shea and Ned. I entered into their lives when Shea was 6 months old. I was involved when Shea became a ‘big brother’ and took him through that passage under the aid of his parents. I remain in contact with the family and still have a strong emotional relationship with them. My duties covered: • Morning routines of breakfast – play – park – creative activities • Daycare routines • Participating in ‘Mini Maestros ’ workshops https://bit.ly/2MlYI09 • Covered potty training needs • School pick-up • After school food preparations and shower routines • Performed light housework duties • Run errands including some light groceries shopping when needed • Organize fun and educational games, read storybooks that increased their connection with a love for books • Keep a daily-recording of the routines and foods consumed • Intervened during strong disagreements as the boys grew older to establish open and safe communication EXPERIENCE Nanny | 2018 Kontis Family I performed a routine across 5 days each week and then every second Saturday for the Kontis family for 9 months. I also did extended hours for school holidays Their family requirements altered later in the year where I unfortunately couldn’t expand my hours any further past the 20-25 per week. Three stunning children all between 3 and 9 years of age, two having a few special needs to cater for as well. My duties covered: • School pick-up • After school food preparations and shower routines • Tutoring different areas of Math’s and English • Covering creative exercises • Developing new routines for bath/dinnertime/bedtime Helping their parents gain some valuable insight into new routines • Covered potty training needs EXPERIENCE Rachel | 2018 Single Parent Family It can be a challenging time for parents that separate and this was one of them. I looked after Jasper 9 and Rosie 7 and formed a quick and strong bond. I handled some very delicate heartfelt questions from them, while trying to understand why their lives were a bit different. Listening with empathy was needed here so these children felt the emotional support. But we also talked about such an enormous amount of topics, which were deliberate on my part, to get their young minds into a more worldly awareness. • Driving to Ballarat and collecting children from school and then driving them to Melbourne every Friday • Driving to Rachel’s Melbourne home and collecting children and then driving them back to Ballarat every Monday morning at 7am • Sleepovers from 6am to 6pm on Saturday nights when needed as Rachel did shift work. I covered dinner, shower and bed routines with some light kitchen cleaning duties too.
