Hi Mums and Dads! I am looking to make some extra money whilst I am studying at university full time. I study Exercise Physiology at UNSW, currently in my fourth and final year. I am currently completing placements in hospitals and private clinics to gain experience. I have a huge passion for helping people where I can and love being active. I also work as a disability support worker part time providing support in personal care, domestic assistance and community access. I have worked in retail for more than 4 years in the past. I love working with kids, I have been a sports coach and worked with kids aged 3.5+ in my past when I was a competitive gymnast. I would love to come look after your kids, I believe I am caring and can understand children well.
Whilst I do not have specific special needs hands on training, I work as a disability support worker and have worked with children/teens with intellectual disability, autism, down syndrome and cerebral palsy. As part of my job I have completed online modules on working with vulnerable people, providing positive behaviour support and preventing neglect and abuse.
For many families, with a range in ages (from 5 months +), mostly one off night babysitting, however I have also done regular before/after school nannying, and have completed household chores (eg. cooking) as part of the job.
